It has been decided that 18 of the TV specials of the anime series “Lupin the Third” that have not yet been released on Blu-ray as individual volumes will be made into Blu-rays and released over three consecutive months. The first wave of the series, which will include six titles including “Bye-Bye Liberty Crisis!”, will be released on January 22, 2025.
“Lupin III” is a series based on the comics created by Monkey Punch. It depicts a hard-boiled, thrilling, comical, and eccentric story of the great thief Lupin III, whose grandfather was the phantom thief Arsene Lupin, and a group of unique characters. It has been animated while incorporating the atmosphere of each era, and has captivated fans all over the world.
Since being made into a TV anime in 1971, this work has been loved for over half a century through movies, OVAs, games, etc. This time, 18 TV special series works that have not been released as single Blu-ray volumes until now will be released on Blu-ray.
The first wave of Blu-ray discs, to be released on January 22, 2025, will include six titles: “Bye-Bye Liberty!,” “The Mystery of the Hemingway Papers,” “Steal Napoleon’s Dictionary,” “From Russia with Love,” “Lupin Assassination Order,” and “The Hunt for Harimao’s Treasure!” Take this opportunity to enjoy these affordable masterpieces on Blu-ray.
