The “Cells at Work Online Lottery” has been launched, where you can win prizes related to the manga “Cells at Work.” Tickets will be on sale from 12:00 on November 21, 2024 at the online lottery service “Kujibikido.”
“Cells at Work” is a manga serialized in Kodansha’s “Monthly Shonen Sirius” by Akane Shimizu that has attracted much attention for its innovative and unique setting of anthropomorphized cells. In 2017, it was selected by the French newspaper “Le Monde” as part of its “Recommended Books for the Summer” list, attracting attention not only from within Japan but from all over the world. The boom further heated up with the anime adaptation in 2018, and the series has become a mega-hit with a total circulation of over 10 million copies.
In addition to Shimizu’s “Cells at Work,” a live-action film version is scheduled to be released on December 13, 2024, based on the spin-off work “Cells at Work BLACK,” supervised by Shimizu and created by Harada Shigemitsu and Hatsugaya Issei, which will be the first in the series to depict the “human world.” This will be the largest-scale Japanese film to depict the “world’s smallest story,” set inside the human body.
This work has now appeared on the online lottery service “Kujibikido.” It is an online lottery with prizes ranging from S to D, where you can win goods featuring illustrations from the original work with no losing prizes.
The S prize “acrylic wall clock” and the A prize “blanket” come with a choice of two designs.
The next prize, B prize, is an “acrylic stand (7 types)” and the C prize is an “acrylic dog tag keychain (10 types)”, with a wide variety of designs available.
