Detective Conan is a mystery manga by Gosho Aoyama that has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday since 1994 and celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2024. The story follows the protagonist, Conan Edogawa, who looks like a first-grader but is actually a high school detective named Shinichi Kudo, as he pursues the Black Organization that gave him a poison that shrinks his body and faces a number of difficult cases.
The anime began airing as a TV series in 1996, and a movie version was released in 1997. In April 2024, the 27th movie version, Detective Conan: The Million Dollar Five-Pointed Star, was released, depicting a “decisive treasure battle mystery” set in Hakodate, Hokkaido.
The “Music Episode Special” currently being implemented on the official app picks out episodes from the show that relate to music.

One of the episodes, “The Moonlight Sonata Murder Case,” begins with Kogoro and his friends heading to Tsukikage Island after receiving a meaningful letter and a request for a commission. However, the client, Aso Keiji, is actually a pianist who died 12 years ago. They visit the community center in search of clues, where a memorial service for the former village mayor, who was Aso’s friend, is about to begin.
According to the villagers, they heard the tune of “Moonlight Sonata” when the two men died. Soon, a series of murders begin to play along with the melody of the moonlight. All of the victims were acquaintances of Aso. Sheet music is left at the crime scenes, with a murder warning and a suicide note in code. What does the murderer liken to “Moonlight Sonata”? Conan uncovers the truth of the case from the sheet music that Aso left behind.
