A teaser trailer for “Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM ZERO,” the prequel to “Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM,” was released on the Gundam official YouTube channel “Gundam Channel.” The cast of the drama CD that will be included with the Blu-ray, which will be released on December 25, 2024, has also been revealed.
The Mobile Suit Gundam SEED series is a story set in the Cosmic Era (CE) era, where there are two types of human race: genetically altered Coordinators and Naturals, who are born naturally.
The first series began airing in 2002. The film Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM was released on January 26, 2024, and became the highest-grossing Gundam film of all time.
“Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM ZERO” is a prequel to the film, written by series composer Chiaki Morosawa and Shigeru Morita during the planning of “SEED FREEDOM”. A teaser trailer was streamed on the Gundam Channel on November 15th. The teaser trailer was shown
at the end of the second special edition screening of “Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM”, and this is the first time it has been streamed online. It is a 30-second video that builds anticipation for the latest film.
Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM will be released on Blu-ray, 4K UHD-BD, and DVD on December 25th. The cast of the drama CD included in the limited edition Blu-ray “Mighty Edition” and special limited edition Blu-ray has now been revealed.
The new character Leonard Balway, who appears in the drama CD “Moonlight Walküre”, will be played by Daisuke Ono. The drama CD will include three stories: “Two Escapes” and “Moonlight Walküre”, which were given away as giveaways to fans of “SEED FREEDOM”, as well as a newly written novel, “Neumann’s Logbook”.
