From the TV anime “SAKAMOTO DAYS,” which will begin airing in January 2025, new items featuring Taro Sakamoto and two other characters eating hamburgers have been released. They will be on sale at Jump Festa 2025 in December.
“SAKAMOTO DAYS” is a solid action story about a former legendary assassin that Suzuki Yuto has been serializing in “Weekly Shonen Jump” since 2020. One day, Taro Sakamoto retired from his job as an assassin after falling in love, and now he is so fat he looks nothing like his former self. The story depicts his days fighting approaching assassins with his friends to protect the peaceful daily life he lives with his beloved family.
The TV anime will begin airing on January 11, 2025. The voice actors include Sugita Tomokazu as the protagonist Sakamoto Taro, Shimazaki Nobunaga as Asakura Shin, a subordinate of Sakamoto’s from his days as an assassin, and Hanae Natsuki as Nagumo, a colleague of Sakamoto’s from his days as an assassin. In addition, Sakura Ayane as Riku Shaoto, Toyama Nao as Sakamoto Aoi, Sakamoto’s wife with whom Sakamoto fell in love at first sight, and Kino Hina as his daughter Sakamoto Hana, round out the supporting cast.
The merchandise features new illustrations of Taro Sakamoto, Shin Asakura, and Nagumo eating hamburgers.
The lineup includes the cute “Acrylic Figure Stand Hamburger ver.”, which has a common base designed with a hamburger, as well as trading items such as “Trading Matte Tin Badge Hamburger ver.” (6 types in total) and “Polaroid Shot Collection Hamburger ver.” (7 types in total).
In addition, the e-commerce site “Chugaionline” will be selling the following pre-sale items: “Eco bag (hamburger version),” “BIG acrylic stand (hamburger version),” and “B2 cloth poster (hamburger version).”
Jump Festa 2025 will be held at Makuhari Messe over two days, December 21st and 22nd. The “Hamburger ver.” items from “SAKAMOTO DAYS” will be sold at the Chugai Mining booth (Exhibition Hall 9). For every 2,000 yen (tax included) spent on related products at the booth, a bonus postcard (4 types in total/random) will also be distributed.
In addition, mail order will be available on the EC site “Chugaionline” from 12:00 on December 18th to 17:00 on December 22nd. Shipments are scheduled to begin in March 2025.
