Voice actor Katsuyuki Konishi’s “first and last” photo book “524” now available in digital format! 10 new cuts added

The first and last photo book of voice actor Katsuyuki Konishi, known for his roles as Diavolo in “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind” and Tengen Uzui in “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba”, “Katsuyuki Konishi Photobook 524”, will be available in digital format with new cuts from November 17, 2024. A comment was also received from Konishi.

Katsuyuki Konishi was born on April 21, 1973 in Wakayama Prefecture. His recent roles include the role of Takaya Maga in “Overtake!”, the role of Takayoshi in “The Apothecary Diaries”, the role of Lieutenant Koito in “Golden Kamuy”, the role of Helk in “Helck”, and the role of Naki in “Kingdom”.

In the fall of 2024, he will appear in “Chi. -About the Earth’s Movement-” as Okuji and “Deliko’s Nursery” as Gerhardt Fra. In addition, the second season of “The Apothecary Diaries”, in which he will play the role of Gao Shun, will be broadcast for two consecutive seasons starting on January 10, 2025.

“Katsuyuki Konishi Photobook 524” is the first photobook that Konishi released on May 24th this year, named after himself. The trigger was that he was featured on the cover of the magazine “TV Guide VOICE STARS Dandyism vol.6” released in 2023, which was his first solo cover.

The photo book was produced in response to the positive reactions. Konishi herself suggested the idea from the planning stage, saying, “I want to express the changes from my debut until now through ‘color’.” The photographer was Yosuke Komatsu, who she has known for a long time and trusts. The costumes included Konishi’s personal items that she had never shown before, totaling nearly 20 outfits.

In the shoot, he has a dignified presence, but also a somewhat melancholic expression, while at the same time capturing the lively smile he always shows on variety shows and at events. His good style, the eccentric outfits that only he can pull off, and his more mature and luxurious appearance at the hotel were also captured, completely packaging the multifaceted appeal of the subject, “voice actor Katsuyuki Konishi.” In addition, under the title “Konishi Katsuyuki seen from the outside,” people connected to Konishi, such as Asou Kazuhiro, Onosaka Masaya, Natsuyoshi Yuko, and Miyashita Mikihiro, talk about the unknown side of Konishi.

This “first and last” photo book, “524,” attracted attention when it debuted at No. 5 on the Oricon photo book rankings, and the digital version was made available for download on November 17th, five months and 24 days after its release.

“I’d like to release it digitally while the excitement is still there. I want everyone to wait until that happens, and I have to work hard so the excitement doesn’t die down,” he said of the long-awaited digital version. The photobook also includes 10 new photos that couldn’t fit in the original, making it a must-have item for fans who already have the paper version.
