A new collection for adults based on the TV anime series Cardcaptor Sakura has been released. Pre-orders for miscellaneous items such as mirrors, hair bands, and drawstring bags began on November 19, 2024.
“Cardcaptor Sakura” is a manga serialized in the monthly shojo manga magazine “Nakayoshi” by the creative group CLAMP from the June 1996 issue to the August 2000 issue. It depicts the exploits of Sakura, also known as Kinomoto Sakura, who struggles as a “cardcaptor” to retrieve the “Clow Cards,” which are said to bring disaster to the world. It was made into an anime by NHK from 1998 to 2000 and became popular.
A new chapter, Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card, began serialization in 2016, marking the 20th anniversary of the series, and will conclude in 2023 after seven and a half years of serialization. 2023 will mark the 25th anniversary of the anime broadcast, and it has been announced that a sequel to the Clear Card anime will be produced.
This time, special items incorporating costumes and motifs from the “Clow Card Arc,” “Sakura Card Arc,” and “Clear Card Arc” will be released. They will be produced by Shobido, a company that plans and sells cosmetic goods, and will be available for pre-order on the EC site “Shobido ONLINE STORE.”
The “mirror” that you can attach to your bag is available in four different designs: two-way pager pattern, magic circle pattern, Sakura-chan & Kero-chan pattern, and Sakura-chan & Suppi pattern.
The original cherry blossom-shaped or wing-shaped carabiners come with a luxurious wing-shaped charm. They can be easily attached to bags and pouches.
The “hairbands and armbands” are perfect for washing your face, putting on makeup, or after a bath, and are made of soft, fluffy fabric. They are soft to the touch and have a cute, unified design that is sure to appeal. Four types are available: Clow Cards, Sakura Cards, Clear Cards, and Black Cat Costumes. The Clow Cards come with a cute Kero-chan stuffed toy attached to the armband. The Black Cat Costume features cat ears on the hairband.
The charms, which feature iconic items from Cardcaptor Sakura, come in four varieties: the Sealing Wand, Star Wand, Rocket Beat, and CLEAR.
The costume charms, made with acrylic material and with attention to detail, expand the world of the series, while the marble pattern on the card charms gives a sophisticated impression.
Other items in the lineup that are easy to use on a daily basis include a drawstring bag, a sticker set, a pouch, and an eco bag with a pouch.
Advance orders for both products will be accepted for a limited time from November 19th to December 5th on the e-commerce site “Shobido ONLINE STORE.”
