Megahouse has released new action figures of Monkey D. Luffy and Boa Hancock from One Piece. Pre-orders are now being accepted at the hobby online store AmiAmi.
“ONE PIECE” is a maritime adventure romance based on the manga by Eiichiro Oda, which is currently being serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump.” The story follows the protagonist, a boy named Monkey D. Luffy, who eats a “Devil Fruit” and gains special powers, as he forms the “Straw Hat Pirates” with his friends and sets out on an adventure to find the “One Piece” treasure, aiming to become the King of the Pirates.
The TV anime series, which began broadcasting in 1999, has been a highly popular long series, and in 2021 it finally surpassed 1,000 episodes. In 2024 it will celebrate its 25th anniversary. Numerous theatrical versions have also been produced, with the 15th film, “ONE PIECE FILM RED,” breaking the 20 billion yen mark in box office revenue. In addition, numerous other media mix works such as games and related products have been produced, and related events are being held without interruption.
The “Variable Action Heroes ONE PIECE Ver.1.5 Action Figure,” which is currently accepting pre-orders, features Monkey D. Luffy and Boa Hancock in new outfits from Megahouse’s action figure series “Variable Action Heroes.”
Luffy not only has an attractive sculpt and realistic paint job, but also comes with a cloth cape, giving him even more play value. Optional parts include three types of facial expressions and a total of six fist parts on each side. The straw hat can also be removed, allowing you to recreate poses to suit any situation.
Hancock, whose outfit has also been renewed, has been recreated to the fullest as an action figure, perfectly recreating the figure of the most beautiful woman in the world. You can enjoy various memorable situations, such as the “Looking Down Too Much” pose and the “Mellow” effect parts. Also pay attention to the skirt parts of the dress, which have been renewed with more cloth-like details and patterns.
