Autumn anime “Chi.” Request for celestial observation records – What is the condition presented by Count Piast…? Episode 9 advance cut

From the fall anime “Chi. -About the Earth’s Movement-“, the synopsis and advance scene cuts of the 9th episode “That’s what it means to know something”, which will be broadcast on Saturday, November 23, 2024, have been released.

“Chi. – About the Movement of the Earth” is a TV anime based on a manga by the young genius writer Uoto, who has won numerous awards including the Manga Grand Prize at the 26th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize, and tells the story of people who risk their beliefs and their lives to prove the heliocentric theory.

The story is set in a certain European country in the 15th century. In an era when the geocentric theory, which says that the Earth is the center of the universe and the planets revolve around it, was considered the truth of the world, and believing or researching anything that overturned that theory was a serious crime, the child prodigy Rafał learns of the possibility of the heliocentric theory through the words of the mysterious scholar Hubert.
He was called a genius by those around him and even considered himself a genius, but an uncontrollable and intense intellectual curiosity began to grow in him. “What on earth do I have to sacrifice to know everything about this world?” he asks, as he risks his own “knowledge,” “blood,” and even his life to prove the heliocentric theory. What fate awaits Rafał?

Episode 9: “That must be what it means to know something.” Synopsis
Count Piast, the director of the Astronomical Institute, has dedicated his remaining life to finding a “perfect proof of the geocentric theory” that he inherited from his predecessor, the professor.

Count Piast initially refuses Badeni and his friends’ offer to provide him with celestial observation records, but then agrees under certain conditions.

The condition is to observe a supposedly invisible celestial object that he once observed – “full Venus.” Will Oxy be able to handle the weight of this important task?
