Shizuka Kudo will appear in “Ojarumaru” as herself, “Shizuka-sama”! The “party-loving” episode will air on December 4th

It has been revealed that Shizuka Kudo, who sings the ending theme “Maru” for the 27th series of the anime “Ojarumaru” currently airing on NHK Educational TV, will be making a guest appearance. She will appear as herself, “Shizuka-sama,” in the episode “Paripi Ojaru” to be broadcast on December 4, 2024. Shizuka Kudo also shared her comments on her experience trying out dubbing.

“Ojarumaru” is a TV anime currently being broadcast on NHK Educational TV, based on a manga by Inumaru Rin. The
story follows Ojarumaru Sakanoue, the son of an aristocrat in the fairy world of Heiancho, who ends up living in the home of Kazuma, an elementary school student he met in the modern-day town of Gekkou, and the eccentric townspeople who get involved in the lively and fun commotion that unfolds.

Shizuka Kudo is currently singing the ending theme song “Maru” for the 27th season of the series. The lyrics and music for “Maru” were written by Yohei Hashiguchi of wacci, and the arrangement was by Tsuyoshi Watanabe. In
the episode “Paripi de Jaru” broadcast on December 4th, she appears as herself, “Shizuka-sama,” at a club in Gekkou-cho.

The story begins with the director’s haunted house being transformed into a club where people dance to music. Otome-sensei and the members of the Little Things Club decide to take the plunge and go to the club. Then Denbo becomes excited, saying, “I can finally become a party animal.”

Ojarumaru, who doesn’t know what a paripi is, heads to a club venue that is preparing to host in order to research paripi. And then, the person who appears there is… (I can’t tell you).

Kudo Shizuka also commented on her first attempt at dubbing for “Ojarumaru.”

“Paripi Ojaru”, in which Kudo Shizuka will appear as herself in the anime “Ojarumaru”, will be broadcast on NHK Educational TV at 6:40 and 17:00 on December 4th.

Having been in charge of the ending theme, I was also asked to be a voice actor, so I am very happy
about that. I felt a little embarrassed to be playing myself, but everyone on the production team was very warm and it was a valuable experience that has become a precious memory.
Please look forward to seeing how the very cutely drawn “Shizuka-sama” will appear. I too am looking forward to it airing!
