It has been announced that the TV anime “Furiren: The Final Chapter” will be broadcast free of charge on the new future TV “ABEMA”. All 28 episodes of the first season will be broadcast over two weeks starting November 20, 2024. In addition, it will be available to watch for free at any time for one week after the broadcast.
“Furieren” is a manga written by Yamada Kanehito and illustrated by Abe Tsukasa, currently being serialized in “Weekly Shonen Sunday”. Set in a world “after” the Demon King was defeated by a hero and his party, the story follows the journey of Furiren, a magician who has lived for over a thousand years, who defeated the Demon King alongside the hero, and the new people she meets. The story unfolds
in a unique timeline “after the Demon King’s defeat”, with heart-wrenching drama and dialogue, magic and sword fights, and humor that will have you laughing out loud, and has won over many readers with its woven story by the characters. The total number of copies of the comics currently on sale has exceeded 22 million, creating a sensation among manga fans.
The TV anime based on the story aired on television from the first special episode on Friday Road Show on September 29, 2023 until March 22, 2024. During the half year run, the work garnered a great response from a wide range of viewers, not just anime fans. Currently, the production of the second season of the TV anime has been decided.
This time, all 28 episodes of the first season of the TV anime “Furiren: The Sorrow of Frieren,” which is also getting a second season, will be broadcast for free on “ABEMA.” It will be broadcast for two weeks starting November 20th.
Episodes 1 to 14 will be broadcast on November 20th, the first week, from 9:30pm to 4am the following morning, and on the 21st from 6:30am to 1pm and 2:30pm to 9pm. After
the broadcast, it will be available to watch for free at any time until November 27th 3:59am.
Episodes 15 to 28 will be broadcast on November 27th, the second week, from 9:30pm to 4am the following morning, and on the 28th from 6:30am to 1pm and 2:30pm to 9pm. The free viewing period is until December 4th, 3:59am.
